Juneteenth Celebration

Join us on June 19th at Charles White Park for a celebration of freedom! Also known as “Jubilee Day”, Juneteenth began in Galveston, Texas when word of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached Texans in 1865. This event is presented by Dena United, a coalition comprised of My Tribe Rise, Compassionate ARTS, SURJ (Showing Up For Racial Justice), and many other local partners.
