A world music concert celebration will take Thursday, September 12th at Lineage Performing Arts Center. This special event is being presented by Lineage, Soul Force Project and Plant Based Treaty and is designed to provide a platform for raising awareness and discussing solutions for climate change. Diverse musical performances will feature the Earthseed Band, Soul Force Singers, Nigerian culture bearer Baba Onochie Chukwurah and youth performers as well. In addition, Dr. Sailesh Rao, founder and executive director of Climate Healers, will speak on effective actions to be taken individually and collectively to restore and heal the Earth’s climate.
La Cura is being organized in conjunction with LA Climate Week - which will feature more than 75 events spread amongst 20 locations around Los Angeles between September 8 and 15. The purpose of LA Climate Week is to collaborate, exchange ideas, and develop local climate solutions.
In addition, there will be opportunities to engage with climate organizations, policymakers, innovators, companies, and changemakers from LA and beyond on cutting-edge climate change solutions. La Cura will inspire participants to take action and to move from a fear-based viewpoint to an asset-based model. It will demonstrate the amazing benefits of the interdependent web of the biosphere and how it can be saved from the destructive and unsustainable consumption patterns that humans are engaged in. La Cura will inspire and educate those who attend and will challenge them to be a part of the solution to a warming climate.
