Poly-Ritmico Afro-Latino
Learn traditional folkloric rhythms of the African diaspora in the Caribbean with Troy Parker, Seung Park and other experienced percussionists.
Play conga, cajon, and other percussion instruments as we on Cuban rhythms and song in rumba guaguanco, palo, and comparsa. We will be accommodating basic level and intermediate level musicians together playing interlocking parts of various levels of challenge.
Vintage Vinyl Salsa Dance
Stimulate the body and brain with the original Latin dance sounds of Johnny Pacheco, Celia Cruz, Willie Colón and others, played on analog records of the classic bands that led the salsa revolution in the 1960s, 70s and beyond. Join us as an analog vinyl DJ for dance instruction weekly and monthly special nights with a live salsa band of local musicians led by our teaching artists Diana Soto Teixeira.
