The sound of diverse musical instruments colliding together in one crashing chord is Shplang! This fun weekly workshop for young people stimulates growing brains with authentic global rhythms and movement to live music.

Using instruments from around the world, we acquire a taste for culture and a natural love of wonder and creative exploration! Authentic world melodies and global polyrhythms take you on a unique sonic meditation. This immersive musical experience concludes with rhythmic games to benefit brain function across disciplines supporting budding neural connections.

Various levels are offered for different levels for parent, child immersion, young kids, and adolescence up to 13 years old. This smack packed 30min (25 min program + 5min checkin with parents), experience for small groups has limited seating with sessions scheduled from 10am - 1pm.

Developing a love for music training at a young age empowers us to connect different areas of cerebral functioning. Best of all, it's fun and  includes engaging games that can be taken home with cheat sheets provided and practiced anytime.

Any child who is deemed disrespectful or unduly distracting will be removed from the experience.

Art Garden: also Saturdays from 10-noon, June 22- July 20. 
Introductory clay class/open studio for all ages. Clay Class Cost is $40 per session, and includes clay and glazes. This course will be paid in person, first come first serve and can be taken alongside (before or after) Shplang music experience (schedule below)

Ceramics instructor Alma Cielo Livingstone has taught clay for over 7 years to kids and adults, and is artist-in-residence at Norma Coombs Elementary.
