Join Soul Force for a special evening of music with Indradeep Ghosh a virtuoso violinist from India and will be featured in this concert in a special ensemble format with Chris Votek on cello, Paul Livingstone on sitar and Neelamjit Dhillon on tabla.

Artist Information

Indradeep Ghosh plays a unique, custom made five-string violin and viola with eight sympathetic strings, modeled after the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle. Indradeep has performed around the world as a classical raga artist and in various east / west crossover collaborations. As a string virtuoso he brings a vibrant and infectious sound and creativity to his music.

Chris Votek is a cellist and composer whose fluency in musical languages from North Indian classical, Arabic, electronica, jazz, ambient, western classical to pop. He is a disciple of the legendary Indian violinist Dr. N Rajam master of the gayaki-ang style of violin Hindustani music as well as being a producer, arranger and sound engineer.

Neelamjit Dhillon is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer skilled in both North Indian classical and jazz music. Performing around the world his music reflects his multifaceted identity, spirituality, and vision for promoting a more equitable and just society through shared experience and collective action. Neelamjit is a disciple of Ustad Zakir Hussain and played tabla, saxophone, and bansuri.

Paul Livingstone is a disciple of the legendary Ravi Shankar and Rajeev Taranath.  Performing around the world, he is a dedicated sitarist since the age of 15, multi-instrumentalist and composer in the realm of world music synthesis. He is the founder of Soul Force Project and an active community activist and educator with a vision for cross-cultural collaboration.  For Paul, the transcendent joy of music is an instrument which reflects his social, political and spiritual values.  For more info: www.paulzlivingstone.com
